On December 20, 2004, Dylan posted her first video to her blog. The next day, Jay dubbed her "The Youngest Videoblogger In The World." and the story was picked up by Unmediated then Eyebeam and finally Waxy. On December 23 it ended up on Metafilter. Over this day and a half thousands downloaded her video and it was moved to the Internet Archive to prevent exceeding the bandwith limit.

On December 30, 2004, Dylan appeared in the ABC News segment, "People Of The Year."

Late Sunday night (Jan 2, 2005) the story was posted on Boing Boing and it was on the top of front page Monday moring. ABC News and this started a whole other round of downloads bigger than the week before.
